Happy Holidays from the Need for Speed World Team!

The holidays are one of our favorite times of the year and we've done a lot to celebrate it. We've already put up a lot of holiday themed decorations in the World, we've added the "Snowflake" Edition Porsche 911 Turbo and now we're going to start a few competitions.

The first competition we're going to start today is the "Home for the Holidays" Winter Community Event. In Patch 5.04 we added a new race event to the game called "Home for the Holidays". It's a sprint race that begins in Century Square and takes you for a long cruise through the world to enjoy the Holiday decorations we've put in the game.

Since we have such a cool race event we wanted to make a competition around it. We've got a few prizes, provided by Intel, for players who race in the "Home for the Holiday" race event in game. Here are the details:

What Can I Win?
We've got two prize packs up for grabs for the two winners of the "Home for the Holidays" winter community event. Each prize pack is made up of one INTEL® CORE™ i7 Processor and one Intel® Desktop Board (Extreme Board) DP55KG.

Big thanks to Intel for providing the prizes!

How Do I Participate in the "Home for the Holidays" Winter Community Event?
We've made it easier than ever to participate in NFS World community events. To participate in the community event just follow these easy steps:

1. Go to the Winter Community Event Leaderboard (click here)
2. Make sure you're logged in to the site
3. On the Winter Community Event Leaderboard page you'll see a drop-down menu containing all your drivers. From that drop down menu select the driver you would like to participate in the community event with.
4. Press the "Sign Up" button
5. Go into Need for Speed World, race and finish the "Home for the Holidays" race event in multiplayer mode.

How do I Win (Winning Conditions)?
There are two ways to win a prize in this community event both of which are through RANDOM DRAW. Follow the steps above to participate in the community event. Once you're on the Winter Community Event Leaderboard you're be entered into the draw.

There will be two draws; [1] We'll randomly draw a player from the leaderboard for one prize pack and [2] All players on the leaderboard who drove the 'Snowflake' Edition Porsche 911 Turbo will be entered into a second draw for the second prize pack.

Official Rules:
1. Players must follow the steps above in order to be eligible for the prize draws. If you don't follow the steps to participate you won't be eligible for the draw
2. Players must race the "Home for the Holidays" in multiplayer mode in order to be eligible for the draw
3. Race event times are for bragging rights only. Time will not be considered in regards to the draw
4. Players are only able to enter one driver into the competition per account
5. A player can only win one prize pack.
6. The "Home for the Holidays" Winter Community Event officially began at 00:01 / 12:01 AM (PST) December 16, 2010 and ends 23:59 / 11:59 PM January 2, 2011.
7. Winners will be announced on or about January 6, 2011.

Good luck
